Jake would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. 2010 promises to be a fantastic ride, and he and I are looking forward to the journey. Of course, his journey includes lots and lots of lazy afternoons spent napping and Beggin’ Strips, while mine will most likely consist of the pain of  eating right, losing weight, and figuring out what the blazes I am doing with this life of mine.

It’s been very quiet around here for no other reason that I’ve been enjoying the Christmas season IN REAL LIFE.  Also, I really didn’t have a lot to say because I found myself wasting an inordinate amount of online time listening to a lot of noise on the Net. But now, as we finally have tucked 2009 to rest, I’m hoping to be here a little more diligently than before.

So, a hearty welcome to 2010! I’m glad the new year is here, because I really needed the great excuse to get my act together! But let’s just do this gently, ok? I’m a little spent because 2009 was very high maintenance, if ya know what I’m sayin’.
